Shooting S.B. Cohorn
« on: August 28, 2008, 01:12:39 PM »
I got out Tues. afternoon and shot my Cohorn for the first time in years . What great fun , .....in the past it had been a pain to drink enough V-8 and cast them ...let em dry .

Tues. I shot pool balls and what a differance  ;D ! 25 grains put them out to 85 yds . I sat there like a little kid for about 3 hours or so and shot pool balls at 25 yds. 10 grains of powder bloops em fight there . Didn't lose even one .

Sitin there watching them go up and down , then go pick them up . I got my pool balls at a local pool for free , painted them up nice w/ truckbed liner which has a nice texture  .

Half a day w/ your 14 year old lab , in the Rockies , shooting pool balls .... Pricless  8)

You're having too much fun! Now stop it before they figure out how to tax it!  ;D

I had a nice little mortar that fired pool balls once..........

 they are great fun,

I lost a few too the chamber would hold a good bit of powder.......  ::)

Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!

dan610324,

The standard billiard ball is 2-1/4" and weighs almost 6oz. The Snooker balls that are red and white are 2-1/8" and weigh about 5oz. I believe I have seen a few at 2-1/16".
If you make it idiot proof, then, someone will make a better idiot.

Yep 2.25 , but two of the "set" are abit tight and not being used . They rest sucked air going down the tube while loading . Much better sound outgoing than juice cans ,a nice thump !!!

I did have the urge to really send one ! Once I get to the grasslands I will for sure .

Yea I need to buy a camera , figure out how to use it . "I'm from an age they call stone " JB .

BTW my lab "Willie" got bored with it , he's seen it all , and helped with most of it . Little bitty thumps don't really spin his prop .
