I have an ultra 223, and was looking to get a 308 barrel fitted and was thinking I should wait some time so everything about the move etc. gets squared away thought Thanks Dennis

That would be prudent, they have a big backlog right now and are still training new people, only a few of the old Gardner plant employees moved to Ilion.

Tim, is your advice to not send recievers for rebarreling? I've got an order ready to ship, but if timing is wrong i'll wait as well.

For right now unless you're in no hurry. From my insider whom is now no longer close to the H&R operation, the assembly process has been totally re-engineered but I expect they're having to work out some bugs. . So far only one person has reported an accessory barrel being received since the operation moved, and it wasn't fitted properly.

Unfortunately they don't offer a 24" .308, just 22" standard or bull barrel. I think most 308 Handis are very accurate, mine is. Here's one of my favorite Handi stories...
