Kansas Yote Question

Going to Tuttle Creek just north of Ft. Riley.  Anyone ever hunted there, or even been there?  Whats it like?

There will be lots of trees and open fields along the river valley. Once you get away from the river valley there will be open pastures and quite a bit of crp ground. Not as many crop fields. Along the lake there should be some great coyote hunting.

I live in NE kansas, Hiawatha.  The coyotes are thick here.  I am just getting in to varmint hunting.  Every night at dark they start howling, I mean everywhere.  When I am out fishing at a local lake it is really erie.   
I don't think you can go wrong coyote hunting anywhere in NE Kansas.

Banty R: If you are hunting north of Ft. Riley you are at Milford Res. not Tuttle Creek. The problem north of Ft. Riley is almost all fort property but there is some public hunting around the reservioir. The same for Tuttle Creek. The biggest problem is both areas, is finding the land owners. I hunt both areas and have good success but it does take time to locate the private land owners. Hope this helps.
