Was at Walmart tonight and they had boxes of 40 for $23.97.

Sorry if this has been posted before.

I saw two boxes of it for that price last weekend at WM, thought it was a fluke, just some they found in a corner somewhere!! If I didn't already have 10 boxes, I'd get some more, but that will last me a loooong time at the rate I shoot!! ::)

thanks for the heads up!

Tim

Tim,  I had 10 boxes also,,,,,,,now I have 11.   ;)

Just wanted to let everyone know.  At one time, there were quite a few on here looking for it and none was available.  From everything I have read on here, the WWB is a consistent shooter out of the Handi's, mine is no exception.

I read a review of this ammo and it was pulled off the shelves a few years ago. The reason was high pressure and blowing out primers. It has since resurfaced and maybe it is alright now, just a heads up.....

I never got a blown primer with these, but they were flattened out quite a bit. I did not have a chronograph at the time, they seemed hot to me. If they pulled them off of the shelves for that reason, I wonder if they have toned them down any. I was under the impression they were scarce because of the high demand by the military pulling resources, like cases and primers.

WWB was always a great shoter in my Handis and I have never expierenced a blown primer with it, even when it was readily available a couple of years ago. IIRC is was $14.95 a box before the supplies at WM dried up. Was that a dream or was it really available occaisionally for that price?....<><....:)

Be more interested if you'd seen a .223 Handi on the rack. My local Walmart is so low on guns (of any make) I actually asked if they were going to stop selling guns or something.  THe only other non-pawn shop in town has one 45-70 and one 17 Mach2 on their rack (have a 45-70 and no use for a 17 M2).

Nope, they stopped selling guns in this store probably about a year ago now.  The last time I checked, our Sportsmans WH had several Handi's.

well, they say they're not stopping selling them, but they are having a hard time getting guns in stock. Never owned a gun just to target shoot before, but have been looking at cost of .223 ammo and thinking about it.

I bought a case last year, pretty sure it was the last case in WA State.  It was $1 off per box so $15.95.

If you ever see $14.95 again, it will probably be in a dream.   :(

now that picture makes me jealous!!! I have had good luck with Ultramax ammo (heavier bullets though, 77 grain IIRC) in my new disease (BRD, AR15 in .223)....<><....:)
