The first two are a night fire.  The grand high mucky-mucks wanted the guns to fire during the fireworks.  No way we were going to pass that up.

You bet!  The Federals were about 400 yards away, so we saw the flash of their guns.  Heard the report of the first about when their 3rd fired.  We responded with 3 mortars and 10 guns.
