range day with my son
« on: August 27, 2008, 05:05:08 PM »
I went to the range with my 13 year old son so he could practice for wisconsin this season.

Here he is practicing with my Marlin lever action 30-30. I got a 9 pointer with it last year.

And here he is just having fun.

He shot pretty well and of course liked the ar 15 the best.

Sure is no substitude for regular practice. After almost three decades in the Deer hunting buisness I am still suprised at the number of hunters in a mad scramble to get a gun sighted in with only a few days to spare :o
I dont know how long your son has been shooting but once he gets comforatable with the bench shooting, it will be time for you to teach him some off hand shooting for sure.
