Well thinking that i was doing the right thing by bringing my deer to the check station @ Rockferd gun club so the dnr could check it out for CWD they told me that they had to impound the animal until test results came in well with a delay of veterans day i finally got it back after seven days took it home started to cut it up and all the meat was spoiled they put it in a refrig. trailer what a waste . so don't wait for the dnr test results cut it up then take the head in you will be better off trust me . and did you know that they didnt find eny deer in the wild with cwd .only that one deer that was shipped in from another state that was kept in a pen .You would think that these animals would be checked before they were shipped! well live and learn i hope this info is helpfull to you.
