Good Morning from rainy drizzly Cut Bank...gotta get me thermometer, must be in the 50's this morning. Nice and pleasant. Well I won't have to water the grass.
Still unpacking boxes, boy have I got a bunch of stuff. 60 years of gathering, and moving from 2600 square feet home to 1600 square feet. One of the boxes had all the spare parts I sent Back from SA. Found enough parts to put together an entire rifle except for butt plate. Anybody got a buttplate and matching screws for a Westley Richards 1871 Patent.
It's chambered in Westley Richards Carbine which translates to 500/450 1 1/2. It shoots a 380 grain bullet around 1350 fps, which puts it in the 44 Magnum class. Should work pretty good for jumping out deer in the weed patches
Showed the rifle to the wife and she was less than impressed. She told me I was supposed to be upacking boxes. I reminded her that I don't have to go to work Monday, I am retired, I have the rest of my life to unpack...She remineded me that her mother is coming in two weeks....she doesn't play fair.
So what's going on over the hill?
