handgun scope ??
« on: September 08, 2008, 11:00:08 AM »
I need a new scope for a 14" contender 357max barrel. I am looking at either the simmons or bushnell trophy in 2-6x32 just wondering which would be a better scope or any other options I have not mentioned thanks for any help

Burris hand gun scope has a lot bigger field of view.
RIP Mike. Died on July 14th, around 2am, with his family at his side, he went peacefully to be with god.

I'd go with the Bushnell Trophy. Unless it's already sold someone has one at a good price on the Classifieds rat now.

I have two 14" Contenders.  All of my hunting is done from elevated baited stands, though I seem to take about the same number from the ground when arriving at the stand.  My pistols are 14" and 15" barrels in 7-30W and my scopes are 3x9 Burris and 2.5 X 8 Leupold.  Weight is no problem and I always shoot from a rest or a tree trunk.  So far so good.
