.45 colt o.a.l.
« on: September 03, 2008, 02:54:49 PM »
Hmmm. Just sized a case enough to barley hold a bullet( 250 gr. of undetermined manf.) and closed the action. Opened the action carefully and checked oal. 1.820" I looked up quick's specs and was puzzled by my results. Anybody have any thoughts on this? dinger.

Depends on what bullet you're working with, mine was(before I made it a 460S&W) 1.683" to the lands for the 250gr Speer GDHP and 1.951" for the 250gr Hornady SST.

Well, I guess there's no reason for concern here. Thanks, Quick. I shall proceed with load development for the November deer season. Tally Ho! dinger.
