This one started out as a .243/20 gauge Youth Combo. After some scrounging on eBay and in the classifieds, it's now a .45-70 with an Ultra stock and a Nikon Prostaff 2-7X32 in some vintage Elpaso, TX made Weaver Tip-offs from the junk box. These rings aren't pretty, or easy to use but they sure are hell for strong. The Nikons Prostaffs have lots of eye relief like a Leupold, but they are bright like a Bushnell.
This is one of the new SB1 .357s. I was going to put a wood stock on it, but I liked the way the new styled synthetic stock looked and felt so much I decided to keep it. The scope and rings came off my Remington 700 package gun. I'm pretty sure it's Simmons 3-9X40.

Nice looking guns Swampman!!
How does that .357 shoot??
My local dealer has a couple of them and I've been thinking about getting one.
I also like the look and feel of the new synthetics.
That 45-70 is quite a looker too and we all know how those things shoot!!

I just got these 2 put together this week, and I have to drive an hour (nearest range) to shoot.

At least the gas prices are coming down (a little).

Look good!!
I also like the synthetic look... That is until I put it in my hands and it feels "thin" "plastic" and "cheap" and I take them back off!!
I have such an itch for a SS Handi I can taste it. I know that's a nickle rec but it sure looks good!!
Good Job Swampy!!

Swampman,
Nice looking rig!
I'm a big fan of the ProStaff scopes as well.
In fact as of yesterday's mail, I now have three of them!
