Killed a pretty nice buck yesterday.  I'd guess he weighed 150-160.  He was probably a 7 point but he'd broken off one side fighting.  Running shot down a steep slope at about 60 yards.  Remington Model 700 .30-06 165 grain Core-Lokt bullet.  Broke the spine and exited between the front legs.  Quite a bit of meat.  Using my lap top at the mall.  I'll try to get pics up soon.  Nothing to brag about he is old with almost no teeth left.  I'll probably make hamburger out of him.  Lots of big scrapes and rubs in the area I'm hunting.  Mountain air is thin.

Good going Swampy!  I've got a 700 in 30/06 that I've never killed a deer with!   :-[  I know it will do the job just fine though...  ;D

Very nice; congratulations. I've gotten nothing that good this year. Now you know... that deer would taste better, if you'd shot him with a 30-30 lever rifle!
