Found another $150 Single Six
« on: March 23, 2009, 04:12:25 PM »
Boy oh boy.  This one is not even in the ball park with the last one I found.  I posted some before and after pictures on the Ruger Handgun Thread.  What a beast!  Spent best part of the weekend going thru the entire gun piece by piece.

Are the top & bottom pics the same gun?  The bottom gun inspires me.  What it that grey color?

Same gun.  Before and after photos.  Finish is KG Products Gun-Kote in "Brushed Stainless".  I have a S&W I did about 10 years ago with this finish and it still looks new.  Took a lot of work to get the rust and pitting removed from the frame and barrel, but came out really nice after the Gun-Kote was baked on.

i would be interested in a description of removing the rust and pits too. Maybe this treatment would work on the Bayard 1908 I posted about on another forum on GBO?

I posted a pretty brief explanation of what I did here:  http://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/index.php/topic,168758.0.html

If you have other questions, please let me know.  I am happy to help.
