.270 " partner "
« on: September 13, 2008, 04:29:51 AM »
Just got turned on to this site by fellas over at Huntingnet.com.   I own a NEA .270 single shot.  When ejecting a live round, it will throw it across the room.  Spent rounds, 90+% of the time do not eject, necessitating a rod being pushed down barrel to assist.  I normally use Win 130 gr: have tried Rem and Fed. to see if this would help, NADA.

There are very few 'smiths in my neck of the woods, as in ZERO.  Any tips on what I can do to rectify the problem, short of getting rid of the weapon.  Love the gun, it drives tacks, it's about 10 yrs. old, less than 500 rounds put through it.  It's been used hard in the Adirondacks, but not abused.  Hope some of you can help.  Thanks
