Youth Southpaw

I'm looking for a good shotgun for "all around" use for my 8 year old son.  Preferably a 20 gauge.  Any suggestions on a gun with a short LOP and relatively light weight?  I'm not having much luck finding a youth shotgun for a lefty.  I've considered the single shots, but would like to find something in a pump or auto, maybe double barrel...but that defeats the light weight.

There is no reason to own anything other than a BPS.  Bottom eject, top safety, and best made hunting shotgun made today.  Get one in 20, then get one in 12 when he's old enough.  Never need another shotgun.

I have to agree 100% with dukillr, here's their 20ga. Micro, made for kids and smaller framed men or women. 13 1/2" LOP. I'm a lefty so is my son. I own 4 BPS, my other son's who are right handed shoot them also. It's about as close to a true left handed pump as you'll find except for a true LH Remington 870

Mossberg makes a great youth 20 gauge. My son is left handed and it worked great for him. It has a tang safety, which makes it a good choice for leftie. It was economical too, and sold quickly after he outgrew it. The receiver is tapped for a Weaver mount, which we used for deer hunting. It comes with 3 screw-in chokes. It was accurate with Rottweil slugs. Very inaccurate with Federal. So if you plan to hunt with slugs, do an accuracy test first.  I think the model name was Bantam.
