SIG/Rizzini TT25 or Browning 425 ???
« on: February 26, 2009, 01:43:13 AM »
Folks,

I have a problem. To fund another firearm building project, one of my 2 over/under 20 gauge shotguns must go. My Browning 425 has seved me esxtremely well for 7 years. I bought it well used, but it is still fairly tight and, gets the job done. The SIG/Rizzini was also bought used, but it was almost brand new. I shoot equally well with both guns.

Since I am having a really tough time deciding which one should go, I am asking you, who know a lot better about shotguns, for advice. Your opinions and recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm not one who can shoot the Browning 425/525 guns. I've owned several in .410, 28, 20 and 12 all and uniformly I can't hit a bull in the butt with them. You'd think I'd have learned before trying all of them wouldn't you?

I am not familiar with the SIG/Rizzini so can't really comment on it. I shoot Browning guns as well as any but just not the 425/525s. I'd be hard pressed to give up a Browning to keep the other but it really should boil down to which you personally like better. Wingshooting is as much art as science and what feels right to you is what you should use. I'd sure be surprised to hear those two feel even remotedly similar to you and am a bit surprised you shoot both equally well but then some of the guys I shoot with seem to hit as well with the 425/525s as they do the more conventially stocked Browning guns. I just never managed to.
