Finally, its on the way!!
« on: September 10, 2008, 01:18:24 PM »
Ordered my New Marlin last weekend, 1894C 357mag.  Should be in this week.  With my luck it will rain all week and weekend so I will just have to finish setting up the reloading equipment in the spare bedroom.  Have been loading for 38sp and have the dies, refresh my ole memory, will the 38 dies work for the 357 mag in a rifle ??  Any suggestion on

357 dies will work for for 38's but if you have 38 dies, they will not fully size 357 brass.  DP

Thanks for the reply, I could not remember and its been 18 yrs since I reloaded for .357 and did
not reload for 38 at the time.
There was a shakeup today in my Marlin.  I checked with the store and it had not come in and
they were not sure when.???  I was at the Charlotte gun show and low and behold there was one (1)
357 Marlin lever NIB.  Whoa......checked the price, $30 cheaper.  Canceled my order and bought the
one in front of me......

So, 38's feed good, 38's with 170 grain Keith flat nose cast feed fine....Will have to
work up some 357's this evening and try them out tomorrow......think I am going to love this rifle.
