1" at 50 yards is impressive accuracy with any handgun, especially a Ruger.

The bipod in the front and sand bag in the back made it very sable .
Don't like the trigger though very hard pull .

Cool little gun, but I can't figure out why anyone "needs" one.

Can't get a holster, and any "sling" that might fit it will just cause it to bounce off your chest. It's akward to shoot offhand. I guess they're cool from a bench, though....would be a fun plinker for those who have younger shooters or their own range at home.

How is the new crinkle painted finish holding up on yours? The new plastic trigger guards?
I've been hearing mixed reviews.

IF you really want your charger to shine, buy a new barrel (or have your current one set-back and rechambered with a match chamber) and get the trigger worked.

My Ruger MKIII 22/45 will do .5xx" @ 50yds with mediocre ammo.

I am not having any  problems  at all .
I don't think people"" need""  most guns , but i wanted one and it's a lot of fun to shoot .
Don't find it awkward  to shoot at all , found it very nice to shoot .  Put a short sling on it and it stayed under my shoulder just fine . ???  I don't see the need to spend 150 -250 ( or MORE ) dollars for a new barrel  to tighten up the group ( 1/4-1/2  in ) . I '' group at 50 yards with cheap ammo is GOOD  to me . I took it out today and was hitting 3''-4'' targets at 100 - 120 yards ( rang finder ) even with the stiff trigger .  I hiked around the hills  for over 5 mile today shooting  at targets with out the range finder ( checked them after i shot )  and hit almost all the dirt clods , pine cones i shot at . I found very little bad reviews before i bought it . ?????????? I  will keep shooting this stock Charger and enjoy every minute of it !!!  I got it to shoot small game not paper and i think it will do fine .! ;D

I think the trigger assembly is the same as the 10-22 isn't it?  If so then for a couple of bucks you can get lots of aftermarket parts and with a little work (most of the parts include instructions) you can have a great trigger.

One of these days I am going to stumble on one and it will follow me home.  I have built several 10-22 project guns and they all have been outstanding shooters.  I have to think a Charger can be a fun project as well.

It's a very fun gun and shoots very accurate right out of the box .
The trigger is the only thing i will repair . I can get new parts for very little $$ .
It has the same receiver and trigger as the 10-22 rifles  , except it says Charger on it .  There are a ton of after market triggers , barrels  for the charger .  My youngest  son has had his eye on one since they came out , so if i spend $$$ on anything it will be for another one we don't ""NEED "" but want !!

Do you have any photos of you project guns i would love to see them .

                                                      Thank -

What's NEED got to do with it?!  ;D

I've had one since they were first introduced, and still came with alloy trigger groups... It has been a sheer pleasure to own and quite a bit of fun to shoot. I mounted a Bushnell Elite 3200 2x-6x handgun scope on mine, and can easily take out turtles on my pond from 75 yards out!  :o

Will the Charger action frame accept the regular 10/22 rifle barrels and stocks?

The Charger receiver is the same as the 10/22 receiver, but (in the US) you have to be careful not to install a rifle stock, unless you also install a rifle barrel.... just like the T/C Contender.

OK thank you, I don't own either, I was just wondering if they were the same frames.

Yes, I completely understand the whole pistol to rifle changing laws.

I own the T/C Encore.

I just ordered a stainless trigger from here , and will learn to do a trigger job myself . No way i am going to spend 150-250 for a trigger already done   .http://www.e-gunparts.com/productschem.asp?chrMasterModel=1910z10-22

I've heard that if u take the trigger apart and polish the bearing surfaces it helps tremendously. Might be the cheapest way yet to get a good trigger.
