Where are you?
Well here i sit in the hill Country of Texas--some 40 miles N or Austin. Dry and a liitle cool this AM.
The trip up was made in about 3 1/2 hours---much better than the 23 hours during Rita.
The traffic was heavy, coming up Hwy 290 at about 9:30 yesterday AM--but moving at 70-75 MPH. It got heavier and much slower after Noon.
I would have stayed if I had known it would only be a CAT 2 too lower CAT 3. I was protecting against a heavier storm. Could still be, at this point.
My daughter and her huisband stayed--they live about a mile from us--but we brought Julia (their daughter) with us. My son and his wife and other grandaughter stayed in Pearland and I am concerned about them. We will see.
Thanks for the prayers boys and girls---stay close too your knees for us.
Just talked too my daughter and they are going too get my drill---the battery gave out on theirs--if the can get into the shed--which may be a big jog, as I loaded it down. That ol shed aint square and level but with all the 3/4 plwood I put in it a few years ago too make it a shop- I am not worried about it.
Gotta go now, I will check back.
Plan on going home saturday.
Blessings
