ICOMAM Magazine
« on: September 18, 2008, 10:08:41 AM »

Just to let you know that ICOMAM-the umbrella organization for Military and Arms and Armour Museums has just published an internet magazine to publicize the work its members carry out. Sadly as I edit it, it is rather top heavy on artillery subjects, but I thought there might be some things which folks here might enjoy: http://www.klm-mra.be/icomam/icomam/magazine/issue01.pdf

Thanks for posting the E-Zine, it has some interesting articles and photos; I especially liked the articles about the cinquecento bombard, using medieval manufacturing methods to make and test the potency of early European gunpowder and your article concerning the conservation of iron guns recovered from the sea.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.
