444s stock

I reccently purchased a pretty much brand new marlin 444s Sporter.  No scraches or wear at all.  And I've found it shoots pretty good, 2.5"-3" at 100yrds and 6" at 200 with the factory sights and remmington core lokts.  I've shot maybe 30 rounds through it and am noticing some cracks on the top and bottom of the pistol grip.  The cracks are about 2" long, 2 on top and 2 on the bottom.  Which is a shame cause I'm startin to really like it.  So I was wondering if the 336 stock at midway usa will fit my 444.  If not do any of you guys know where I can get a replacement stock for it?  Plain old walnut works for me but i think i might get a laminate if I can find one fairly cheap.  But I will not get a synthetic stock cause they're just plain ugly.

Remove stock from rifle.  Fill cracks with super glue until they won't fill anymore. Most of the time this will stop a crack.  Be careful not to get excess on surrounding surfaces.  If you can see the crack in the tang area fill it there also. I have used this on many cracked stocks and it works, plus what have you got to lose?
