Ladder Braces?
« on: September 02, 2008, 03:58:51 PM »
Where can I find the hardware that is used on stepladders to keep them from opening all they way up? You know, the little brace that goes from the rung side to the leg side.

Kinda doubt you'll find them at a local hardware store. I'd Google up some ladder makers specifically the one who made yours if you know and ask them about the possiblity of buying some from them.

That exactly what I need Carl.  In fact, my rack looks just like that, minus the green felt.  Where did you get them?

A lot of cabinets makers have them and some hardware stores. Try Woodcraft.com  Click on Hardware misc. and click on friction lid support. the # of item is 85122 Price is 5.99 ea.. This is not my gun rack, just a picture to see if this is what you wanted.  Also go go to the web site that I posted in gun racks and they might have them also. Carl L.
