where can I find a rear sight?
« on: September 23, 2008, 12:10:42 PM »
I checked on Ed's TC site for a rear sight for my newly accquired suer fourteen barrell in 17 HMR.  I didn't have any luck.  I bought the barrel used and it came with a scope base and rings, but no rear sight.  Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Thanks for the tips.  I have been looking at a Bushnell trophy handgun scope for it also.  I have also considered a red dot.  I want to use it to shoot grouse this fall.

The rear sights came in different heights.  You may want to ask around to find out what sight that particular barrel had.

If you buy from an outsource (not TC) don't forget TC rear sights come in 3 heights.

If you can find out the specs on it from TC, I'm sure I have one I don't need anymore.
Be happy to let you have it. Just need to know which it is.

My guess is the Super 14 17HMR uses the low rear sight (.110 blade) since that's what the Super 16 22WMR uses.     Possible it could be the medium (.200 blade) same as the S14 22LR though.
