corporate malfeasance and mismanagement-capital crime
« on: September 26, 2008, 07:38:33 PM »
I am all for it.

I think that there should be a threshold where these huge corporate greedfests result in executions.

I am dead serious.

For example, Joe Blow works for Texas Pipeline for 30 years.  He dies.  His widow gets pension.  Enron buys Texas Pipeline.  Enron goes belly up.  Widow loses 30 years worth of pension.

My point is that executives at companies like Enron have devastated people's lives.  My father in law thinks that Christianity should forgive people's mistakes and greed.  But he believes that there should be "eye for an eye" for murder, rape, and other violent crime.

The oil companies are killing us.  Record profits for years now.  Record low reserves.  No new capital investment in modern refineries and methods.  Just drill, import, import, take over country.

I am with the Chinese on this one.  There should be a point where people are punished.  PUNISHED.  Not walking away with $27 million while the Widow Joe Blow is eating crackers and can't afford gas.

<kinda frustrated tonight>
