loads for 2" barrel S&W model 36

I purchased a model 36 today and will be looking for loads that get the most out of the 2" barrel. What powder/bullet combo do y'all use? Charlie

My one and only load for 38 snubbies, including my M36, M37 and M38 as well as a buddy's Diamondback, is a 200 gn semi-wadcutter over 3.8 gns of WW231 for 770'/sec (probably around 700'/sec from a snubbie) at 15.5K cup, a standard pressure load. 

An indication of this loads capability is found in the thread on this column about ammo for 38 snubbies.  HTH.  Mikey.

I'm using 5.2 grains of Unique under a 158 grain Speer swaged HPSWC.  Cheap, easy and adequate.

factory loads ?
If so I use 158 gr. SW-HP Win. Rem. or Fed. The F.B.I. load it has been called .

Like some of the other guys said - 158 grain lead semi wadcutter hollow point.  As loaded by Federal, it has a good reputation as a stopper out of snub nose revolvers without having to go to plus P loads, and the resultant muzzle blast and wear on the gun.
