Alright I was gonna get a 6.5 swede for the encore and decided to stick to my nonG2 contender.  I got this bug right now for a 6.5 and can't decide between the 6.5 tcu, 6.5 BRM or the 6.5 jdj.  This will be my first wildcat so help me out.

Info that will help you help me:
 Planned use is deer to 200 yds maybe antelope.  I am the type to pass on poor shots.  I wont claim to never take a broadsite walking shot, but I would rather pass than wound.  I shoot off sticks or bipod and once the scope is set this is how I practice.  Gun will probably have a nikon 3x9 or 4x12.

My records show 6.5TCU with 14inch contender barrel not only was my IHMSA Unlimited gun, but also took several antelope in the Farson area of Wyoming. Didn't have a Chrony then, so can only say 250 yards really stretched its killing capacity on antelope. I never lost one, but 2nd shots were frequently required at the extended ranges. Under 100 yards, it was devistating! I was using open sights with max charges behind 100gr Hornadys and 120gr Sierras. My vote would go to the 6.5JDJ because I always wanted one 'back then'. I don't own a contender now, so it's not a temptation anymore. I think the 6.5JDJ would have enough higher capacity to drive the 120s and even the 140s to a more effective velocity and better killing capacity, especially for game larger than antelope.

Have lots of experience with the 6.5JDJ hunting and the 6.5 TCU shooting IHMSA - none with the 6.5BRM but some hunting with the similar 6.5 Bullberry Improved.

Any of them would work on deer with well placed shots at appropriate ranges.   None of them are speedsters with 120's/140's - my guess is the BRM would be the fastest, then the TCU and the JDJ if MV matters to you.   All are simple enough to form.   The TCU/JDJ have the stronger brass of the three which might mean longer brass life.

Maybe a consideration to consider is the brass itself.   223 and 30-30 brass is easy to find and cheap - 225 Win harder to find and much more expensive.

Personally I like the 6.5JDJ the best, but all of my hunting with it has been predators and long range ground diggers (and it far exceeded what the 6TCU would do long range on small targets).   Still have a large stash of 225 Win brass (for the 257/6.5JDJ's when I had them)... you learn to buy this brass large when it is available.   Less experience with the 6.5BI, so I'm no expert on it.

I guess if I was shooting deer with one I'd opt for the 6.5JDJ if ranges were shorter more often than longer, and if longer more often I'd opt for the 6.5BRM/6.5BI.

Go with the 6.5 JDJ. Brass isn't that hard to come by. Midway USA has it in stock all the time. According to Mr. Jones, Sighted in 3 inches high at 100, it is dead-on at 250. Althought the 6.5 BRM intrigues me. I would still go with the JDJ.

Either the 6.5JDJ or the 6.5 BRM would serve you well. I can't help on performance other than to agree the BRM may be a bit faster if that matters to you. I do have the 7BRM in an Encore, and it's excellent. The only other thought that comes into mind is,,,30-30 brass is cheaper.
