.223 Loads Using 60gr Nosler Partitions

I was just wondering if anybody had powders or starting load recommendations for use with these?  I have a 24" barrel with 1:9 twist.  These bullets aren't really the cheapest, so I wanted to get powders that have worked for others so that I can take some of the guess work out of it.

WW748 and CCI 450 primers for premium loads.  How much 748 is up to you.  I run them quite fast but below max.  They work well with the 1-9 but I use cheaper pills that do just as well.

My AR loves 60's and a max load of 2230.
It also does well with H335.

That's what this is for, my Bushy Varminter.  I'll try the H335.

Start low and work up.  From Nosler 6th manual   H335 start  23.0gr.  MAX 25.0. They were using Nosler brass and Rem.7/12 pimers.

I tried and tried to get these bullets to shoot well fron my Sav. 10fp.After calling Nosler ,the guy on the phone recommended a max load of 25 grains Benchmark(a new powder then) and seating the bullets deeper into the case.This got me groups under 1" which is really sorry for this rifle but good enough for hunting.A few years later I picked up some Blackhills remanufactured ammo with this bullet just to see how they'd do.The Blackhills shot nearly as tight as my best handload and HALELUJA only 1/4 inch to the right at 100 yards.Bagged two turkey with neck shots with these loads and lost maybe three bites of meat between them. Maybe when these run out I'll try some more handloading with them to get as good a load.Or maybe just save the time and buy another box of Blackhills

I went ahead and loaded up a bunch of the partitions in with 3 different powders I had that would work for .223 according to the load manuals.  I also loaded up 64 gr Winchester Power Points also.  The powders I used were W748, Varget, and H335.  It was about 75 degrees with the wind gusting from 5 - 15 mph.  Just for the heck of it, I shot some of my pet loads of W748 and 52 gr SMK's for a baseline.  I think the wind pushed the bullets around a little bit, but I still had a respectable .54" group.  This load can do as low as .2" (Best with this gun) with a 5 shot group.  So I also took that into consideration.  Here were the results.

60 Gr Partition  (Powder: Best Group Size, Center to Center)
Varget: 1.43"
W748: 2.9"
H335: 2.24"

64 Gr Winchester Power Points
Varget: .87"
W748: 2.45"
H335: .96"

As you can see, I am leaning towards the less expensive, better grouping 64gr WPP.  This will be used for Ag/Herd control deer.  Shots will be taken carefully.  I feel I am an excellent marksman, and would not take shots if I did not have complete confidence in myself and my weapon. 

I should also note that no re-zeroing will be necessary.   The smk's are sighted in right at 2" high at 100yrds.  The 64 gr WPP's group 1.5" high and about .5" to the right (approximately).  That's pretty good in my book, considering the group size.
