Load and bullet for a 308 22 inch Handi rifle?
« on: November 12, 2008, 05:07:38 PM »
I'm wanting to use the W748 powder and Nosler 130 grain Accubond bullet for my 308 22 inch Handi rifle is this a good load and bullet for this rifle? What are your thoughts?

If i knew i would tell you the twist in your 308 is to fast for a 130gn bullet. I have not tried myself so i can't  say for sure

The 308 Handi has a 1:10" twist, same as my 30-30 Ackley Handi which I shoot 125gr Sierra SPTs at just shy of 2900fps, so the 130gr ABs should do fine in the 308. All of Nosler's 5th edition data is shot in a 1:10" twist barrel.  ;)
