Burris XTR

I'm considering purchasing a long range rifle and am pretty much settled on the rifle, but still not quite sure on the glass.  I need something to accurately put a .308 out to 1000yds.  I don't want to spend a small fortune on my optics but want something of decent quality.  I like the Burris XTR 4-16 X 50.  Was wondering if anyone is using this scope and what you think of it?

I haven't used one, but I've looked through one.  NICE.  A couple of guys I know that dabble in the long range game like those scopes and the Burris Black Diamond/Euro Diamond scopes too.  They are all first class scopes.
