I can recall when a woman in North Carolina accused the whole Duke U. soccer team of raping her...
Al Sharpton was SURE they did..Jesse Jackson was sure they did...as were some 88 brilliant professors
 at Duke University...
Shows just what a whole lot of "assuming' can do for one's credibility... ;)

And I can show another where the court dismissed a sexual harrassment suit against a standing President because he lied in a court depositon, yet his popularity increased.

IG...good they stood up for their rights and what was truth to prevail

Deltecs...too bad the system failed to nail a guy lying about boinking around....pale in comparison to the crap and lies and bailouts we've had to endure these last 7.5 years.

..TM7

Not when the Cheif Executive of the Land is charged with enforcement of federal law and it is he that violates it.  Just what law then exists for the common man.  It must be enforced equally to all or it isn't law. That is why a jury of peers to prevent exactly the situation with court dismissal due to perjury.  No higher crime exists when the Chief Executive as President, charged with executing and enforcement of federal law, commits perjury which denies a citizen's right to persue her claim in court.  And nothing that Bush has done so far, constitutes perjury.  I agree that the last 7.5 years have been trying times for the US.  I don't believe like some regarding WTO.  The position of those believing other will undoubtedly believe that Bush is worse than Clinton or the liberal Congress.  I for one do not.

Thanks MS for the "facts" that someone accused O'Reilly of sexual harrassment.
If that pervert didn't do it he wouldn't of paid her off. I guess you think OJ didn't kill is ex wife and Ron.  Or Michael Jackson didn't rape those kids.

Actually, I do not know if he was guilty or not, like I said before. Yes, some who are innocent will pay off because otherwise they are tied up in court for a long time. A knee jerk reaction is that if innocent they would want to clear their name, but in reality your name would not be cleared anyway. Folks like ms & Swampman know they are guilty,
proven or unproven, trial or not. I don't want to defend Mr. O, I feel that many times his no-spin is actually spin & I disagree with him alot, but I know how women sometimes want to cash-in on a rich guy too, so I don't know. I just don't like some of these rumors, like one member was talking about Biden messing around the day his Wife got killed, now I can't stand Biden & I am for everything he is against, but when we aren't sure, I don't like this stuff.

.
Many a man of principle and means won't, especially if he believes in the system he/she will fight to the end to vindicate themselves.  Circumstanially Big O hangs with Rupert and he gladly merchandises some real raunch.

..TM7

Many of man of principle won't & I agree with that. I used the word some & you said many, either way some would pay off for one reason or another, family or more pressing problems or many things. Myself, I would fight it no matter how long it took, but I am hardheaded like that. But my point was & is that the fact that someone settles does not prove their guilt. The "man of principle" part of Mr. O could be another issue, but even if he does not have it, that still does not indicate innocence or guilt. If a liar & robber got accused of raping someone at a different time, I would not just assume he did this crimwe as well without proof. So, I stand with my statement that I don't know if he harrassed her or not & if any of you KNOW then show the proof.

Yeah...good...whatever. I'll keep this in mind (in fact save it) when and if Bush-Cheney et al get prosecutted for their trangressions which will be pale to clinton's lying.

As for Big O a contemplation of his modus operrandi, emotional instability, previous sins, quick settlement of his piccadilloes TO AVOID COURT PROCEEDINGS,  AND that he hangs out with a known international pornographer would seem to indicate that he is rather unsavory to say the least. But yes...we can only hope that some case comes along that he can't squirm out of to conclusively confirm all these accusations.

..TM7

Save it, why not?

And in that case there was semen on the dress & we can KNOW he was guilty. I have seen too many accusations that prove NOT to be true with other folks.

Don't remember... I think the Marackis women had lewd phone call tapes of Big O, maybe tape machine etc. She claims harrassment..he naturally claims frameup.

And we are supposed to buy into something you don't remember!  ;D

You have correctly concluded it is not worth the time, I know I don't have time for it. Very good.

Nancy pelosi..shreiker of the house claims that after the dust settles, she's going to appoint Barney Frank to conduct an investigation
into where Fannie and Freddie went crooked..
Isn't that like appointing Col Saunders to find out why there are dead chickens in his restaurants ?

After all, Barney was the man that was supposed to be watching Fannie and Freddie...
....Looks like Barney was too busy...watching some Freddie's Fanny... ;D

+1 on that.  All of this stuff started way back in the Clinton era, but Hank Paulson (sp?) should have been fired right away.  We are in a perfect financial storm of sorts.  We just need to let it do what it's going to do and move on.  The folks that bought houses they couldn't afford or were trying to flip - tough luck!  Learn your lesson and move on.  We should have each member of congress re-apply for their job too while we are at it!

It would appear here, that someone has stolen that "fabled tin foil conspiracy hat" that TM7 has been accused of wearing, and is now wearing it themselves.
It is ABUNDANTLY CLEAR, that neither the Democrats nor the Republicans have any real "business sense" as not only have both of them "dropped the ball" in monitoring the banking system, both (Democrat and Republican, Obama and McCain) have voted voted for this bail out, that we the American people will not only pay for, but will continue to SUPPORT AND DEFEND SOME OF THESE MORONS.

To some loyalty is more important than the right thing.  In my house we call this mommyitis.  My kids will take my side over Daddy's because even though I may be wrong I usually give them what they want.  On the occasion that "mommy is mean" they still prefer me to daddy.  They may think I'm  wrong, but they are loyal because they have mommyitis.  My kids have an excuse, they are children and haven't learned any better YET.  Wish some people would grow up, take the blinders off, and quit following politicians based on the fact of wether or not they like them as people and judge them based on their actions not words.  The world has a huge case of mommyitis, to bad MamaOBama and John MomCain doesn't have the peoples best interest at heart like I do my kids.

I'm hearing alot of whining and complaining here, but does anyone havea solution? If I were as upset with the current situation as some I would start killing off some of the problem. You guys just toothless dogs or are you armed citacens? Bark Bark Bark, but no bite. Now I'm not fan of the Repblicans and even less of the Democrats, but I plan on voting Mc Cain Palin in hopes of Mc Cain dying.
