Browning 44 lever

i recently bought a browning model 92 44 mag centennial. i really like the rifle and its a closer copy of the winchester 92 than my puma 92. I was wondering what yalls opinion was on this gun?

I have a M92 in 44 mag also, would love to find one in 357 but they are rarely seen for sale.
Hopefully Ohio will make these legal for deer soon.

I had one of those for a while. Grooves measured .433", and it had a really slow twist rate. It shot the Ranch Dog 265gr. bullets quite well, sized at .434", but only at full throttle. Never could get it to shoot normal sized 44 bullets, and it wouldn't work well with lighter loads. I sold it and bought a 357 version, and it's a whole different animal. Correctly sized bore, super accurate with just about anything, and way less recoil. I put a Smith ladder sight on it and it works great for the cowboy levergun silhouette matches out to 200M.

I have a Browning 92 in .44 mag also and like it just fine. I also discovered that it needs a fairly hot load to stabilize bullets of any weight. I plan to hunt deer with it this year for the first time. I also have an original Winchester 92 in .44-40 and the two really are very similar in outward appearances, about the only difference is the configuration of the sights.
