lets say i bought one and wanted to use it as a wood carry pistol what is a good bullet to start with???            P.S. i am not going to use it for deer hunting.

I think the load selection would vary depending on location. For an all round load a good 158 grain JSP running at full power would be hard to beat. If you needed more penetration the 180 grain cast loads would be a good pick.

Ya might also stick a few .38s in your pocket. Don't know what all you will be using it for, but in case you run across a rabbit or two, a .38 for small game will leave you with more than fur flakes like the .357.

+3 on all the above, I like to shoot 158 in mine but I hunt with 180 hardcast,  156gr LSWC GCs shot very well out of mine also and I wouldn't hesitate to carry some of those or just some wadcutters loaded in .38 cases for rabbit or squirrel hunting, Otherwise most of the time you'll find 158gr rem bulk JSPs in mine.
