Kentuckey deer guides ?
« on: October 01, 2008, 09:13:47 AM »
Looking for a guide or outfitter in Western Kentuckey. Hopefully reasonable. Would like to make a hunt next year. I live in SE Mo. so it wouldn"t be too far away.

I don't know anything about any of these guides since I've never used one but here's what a quick search turned up:

Hope it helps...

Should have included Tenn., and Mississippi I can get to the western areas without too much of a drive. Maybe Arkansas

Looks like my schedule is booked solid for this upcoming season...a family by the name of Stringer.  I didn't want to list my name if I can't schedule anything! haha  :D :D

T/C Game Trails is in western KY, but it's BIG $$$ for that place.  There's a couple others around Cadiz and such that I've heard about, but I don't really know anything about them.

Did you check out the ones in the link that I posted above?  I don't know anything about them personally but it's at least a start for some phone calls / web research.

I checked the site and contacted a place called Snipe Creek ranch by Kentucky lake. The guy called me me and it just sounds too good to be true but no food is included. Does anyone one know about this place. I really thank you guys for the information.

I've never talked to them, but I have talked to the people from that Double D ranch last year (or the year before, I can't remember, I just know that I didn't go this year) at the Cincinnati Travel Sports and Boat Show and they seemed to be pretty good people.

Of course, when you have someone that's going to possibly hand you $1000 or more for a few days hunting, you tend to be nice to them.   ;D

I didn't go, but I considered it.  Spent the money on something else (or my wife did, anyway).

T/C game trails will not likely be available after this year.  They leased that property, didn't own it.  It is all being sold at auction this winter.  Unless T/C buys it, it will be gone.  Got a letter of invite to the auction the other day.  Obviously they have overestimated my buying power! :o
