Merrill Carbine
« on: October 15, 2008, 05:29:08 AM »
I have in my possession an old carbine made by Merrill of Baltimore.  It is quite rusty, but it is all there and the wood is still solid, although somewhat scuffed up.  It works OK too, but I don't think I would shoot it even with black powder.

The problem is that it belongs to a friend who wants to sell it and neither he nor I have any idea what it may be worth.  Can any of you folks steer me toward a reliable appraisal?  Or could one of you even offer a guess as to value?

Here are some pictures.
