I suppose it's possible that a B/P cannon was responsible for blowing the wing off.

Well, if you correct me and say that he had big BRONZE ones, does that kind of bring it on topic?

I hope he was wearing his brown pants. I wonder what happened to the wing that fell off.

What a pilot!  That's what I call a well designed aircraft too.  To have responsive control [less one wing] and lots of horsepower.  I think most other planes would have crashed in that situation.

Hate to burst your bubble, but that's a clip of footage from a computer flight simulator.  The last 15 or so seconds really gives it away.  Also as you can see there are no numbers on the tail of the plane, so it wouldn't be legal.

Kev,

That plane looks to be purely an acrobatic or racing plane and I don't think any visible licencing numbers are required on them, but I'm not sure on this point.

Re-watch the last 20 seconds of the video, pay special attention to the background and the camera when the plane lands.  This is from a computer game.

Actually, after watching it a few more times, and reading some of the comments, I'm inclined to agree it is faked. Maybe footage combined from a real plane, an RC plane, and some computer graphics.

Oh well.  Sorry, I should have checked better.

Yup, it's fake. I knew right away... ;D

(right away after I read about how it would be impossible in real life)

why would it be impossible ??
just looked at an you tube video where an israelian fighter pilot takes down an one winged F-15 after an mid air collision . I dont mean the wing tip is lost , all wing is gone .
what I could see with my limited experiance it seemed to be an airplane designed for aerobatic stunts ,
wouldnt be totaly impossible to do that for an extremely skilled pilote .
Ive seen such planes hanging in the propeller , almost howering like an helicopter .

Dan, watch the last several seconds of the video; the guy with the camera somehow slides to the right at about 60 mph and keeps up with the airplane as it goes down the runway. How does can that be?

Now this one - Who can deny that it's the real thing?

It's amazing to me that this technology is developing at a speed where an individual can now buy a program and instal it in his PC and produce almost better looking special effects than Hollywood or these game manufacturers were capable of producing not all that many years ago.
