I bought my son a wolf last year. Its his gun of choice. He shoots 80 gr black powder over his own cast bullet. he has no problem cutting bullet holes at 100 yards. He got a nice rib shot at 80 yds on opening day. Yeah, I would give a good rating. He also has breech plugs for a 32 acp , 209 and # 11 cap. Dan

I just bought one a couple of weeks ago for the same reason. cheap. it's fun to shot and fairly accurate. I can consistently put shots in a 5" circle @100yds with open sights. easy to clean and very simple gun.

I purchased a CVA Wolf a few weeks ago and some of the Blackhorn 209 powder.
I mounted an older simmons 2.5 x 20 fixed shotgun scope on it. I was shooting at a range of about 65 yards using 295gr aerotip powerbelts and 90gr of Blackhorn with winchester 209 primers. This load after some scope adjustments and firing 13 times with no swabbing between shots it grouped about an inch and three quarters. I haven't moved to a longer range yet, but I'm happy with this gun and the powder. I really think this gun is a pretty good deal for the price and it isn't real fancy.....
