A few more 357 max ??

I am trying to load some of the speer 35 caliber 180gr flat points. I am having trouble crimping them without seating the bullet to deep. I have been shooting the hornady 180gr xtp with lilgun powder with great acuracy. I seated the speer bullets at 2.150" the hornady book gives a OAL of 2.250 with thier 180gr ssp bullets. With what I seated mine to the gun opens and closes very easy so I might be ok. Thank for any info you guys are using .

My Speer manual lists the OAL as 2.145" with their 180 FP rifle bullet for all their data so you are not seating too deeply - that's good. However they do not list any Lil'Gun data in the version I referenced so I cannot help you there.
