Is there anyone working at H & R?
« on: October 31, 2008, 08:31:24 PM »
I need to talk to someone at Customer Service over at Harrington & Richardson.  I called, the phone rang for 20 minutes with no answer.  Since the Remington acquisition have they shut the old H & R place down?

Try this number, I got it off their site. Their hours are on EST. I suspect that you will need to call between 8 - 5 week days only

Phone: (866) 776-9292

Send Mail to:

I've made several calls to them in the past few weeks at the above listed number and never had a problem reaching someone in a reasonalble amount of time.

Gardner MA closed the end of June, production was moved to Ilion NY, customer service moved to Madison NC.

Does this mean that the barrel replacement program is done in Illinois?
Just curious as Madison, NC is just a couple of hours down the road.

You could go talk to Customer Service at Madison, but that's probably about all, I think they do the invoicing there too, so you could probably pay a bill there too!! ;D

http://www.hr1871.com/about/contactus.asp

All manufacturing, repairs and accessory barrel fitting is done in Ilion, NY. The only exception to that is on the imported NEF shotguns which are repaired in the Marlin plant in North Haven, CT.

The Gardner plant still had a partially operationing staff from June thru October, but they were only making parts for the Ilion plant and shipping repaired and/or accessory barrel order returns that were shipped to them after the plant equipment move the end of June. Due to FFL requirements, any firearms shipped to Gardner had to be logged and forwarded to Ilion, then they had to be logged out of Ilion and returned to Gardner for return to the customer. They're closed down completely now.
