I got a chance to go to the range today. The local management area range is limited to 100 yards, and I wanted to make sure that I could put bullets from my Encore pistol in a nice tight group at that range. After tinkering around with it for a bit, I did, and then I broke out my Model 12 Savage..... Single shot .308. I had four different loads for it, most were 168 grain A-max bullets, with some 165 grain interlocks and some 165 grain HP GameKings.
After firing a few rounds and seeing that they were grouping just about an inch to the left, I made my adjustments and was pleasantly surprised to see all of the bullets , even as they were from different bullets and powders, were grouping an inch high and most were in the same hole or almost the same hole. I've never had a rifle that was so easy to feed.... Any one of those loads is easily capable of getting a deer, without having to wonder if it's going to hit off POA....
No, I didn't get any pictures.....
