Hi,
I'm new to the T/C forum mostly due to my
"cheap fetish" for Savage rifles. Now don't get me wrong here, I just couldn't afford a higher quality rifle at the time and Savage rifles shoot very good out of the box. But, I've been dreaming of the day I could buy a T/C ever since they first came on the market. The switch barrel single shot has always appealed to me. So, I finally bought an Encore in 50 cal and also bought a 223 barrel. Man am I impressed with the 223 out of this barrel
. I sighted in on Monday nite and tried some shots out to 300 yds and still had a group of less than 3" O/S to O/S
. and it's so nice to shoot. The trigger is a bit heavy but the gun just doesn't seem to move when shot. It's just amazing how nice it is to shoot from a bi-pod. Now I get to reload for it and maybe even get a better group.
Just had to bubble a bit. I haven't shot a rifle that shot so well yet. Only 1 complaint: stocks an inch too long but that's getting changed tonight. For the price of it it's kind of like investing in something of value. I wish I'd bought one or more 15 years ago.
