Tulsa Gun Show
« on: November 10, 2008, 05:42:50 AM »
I assume I got to meet Ed, not sure as he was so busy selling barrels and looking over TCs I did not get to talk with him much. Kinda reminded me of a chicken with its head cut-off :D. I was glad to see the popularity of encores and contenders instead of all ARs and such after our election results. Also got to visit with some guys from MGM. Pretty neat experience but the Wannamacher show is way too big to see all you want to in one day. Next year will try to rent a room and stay both days.
Thanks,

i never made it to ED's table. Picked up a barrel from MGM. Went over to the blue star tables for some bullets.  After fighting the crowd to get to the other end of the building I had had enough. Too many people.

I was there early Sunday am and only got to see half the upper deck. I had a vender tell me that if you walked through and spent 6 seconds at each table you could not see it in 3 days, Ed is always busy but was able to sell him a barrel and he gave a very fair price., as stated that show is just too big and two many people. I said last year that I would not go to another of that companys show because of the size but went any way as I wanted to find a TCR 83 or 87. Found 3 TCR 83s but the vender wanted way more than they were worth and they were well used and none with scope mount. I try and stick to the smaller shows as you can find better bargans and venders are willing to work with you on the price.
