pro hunter stock problem
« on: October 31, 2008, 11:48:33 AM »
when I put my butt stock on the action and tighten the bolt i can't cock the hammer or pull the trigger. The wooden pistol grip doesn't have this problem but i have to use an extra washer on the rifle stock with the same bolt to keep it from being loose. any ideas what i can do to fix this ? thanks, Justin

Sounds like you already fixed it. This is not uncommon. Different grip/stocks vary in the depth of the bolts hole so the bolt will go in to deep and disrupt normal functioning. You can epoxy the washer in the bottom of the hole so it stays there when you switch back and forth. You can also get another 1/4" bolt and cut it to size for the stock so you have a bolt for each.
