Daughter's first deer
« on: November 17, 2008, 04:37:57 AM »
My daughter killed her first deer this weekend (a 7 point). She shot it with an Ar-15, loaded with 60 gr. Partitions. She hit the deer right behind the front shoulder, taking out heart and lungs. The deer ran about 60 yards and piled up. She is 10 years old and did a great job. She now considers herself a sure-nuff deer hunter. I couldn't have been more proud. :)

Very Nice!!! Big congratulations to your Daughter for some fine hunting, and a big thumbs up to you Dad for taking that little girl out for the hunt. Now that's the way to pass our great sport on for generations to come.

Excellent John R.

My grandchildren live almost 1000 miles away in two different directions.  I have a grandson that is chomping at the bit to go hunting with Popop.  Enjoy your time with your daughter, and when she is older, get it in writing that she will not move too far away when she marries!  Tell that little girl a bunch of old geezers are proud of her.
