309 JDJ Trajectories??
« on: November 09, 2008, 06:23:50 PM »
Hey guys,

I have a 14" 309 JDJ w/standard brake on the end.  Anyways, I am going hunting with it but have been unable to find any area around with a range with more than a 100 yard line.  I am shooting JD's recommended load of 52 grains of 4350 w/ a 165 grain ballistic tip.  I sighted it in at 2" high at 100 yards but my tripod broke so I was unable to get chronographed my loads.  Could someone let me know more or less what the trajectory for this would be?  JD says with that load out of the same sized barrel I should be getting a velocity of around 2371 fps.

Thanks for your help.

Bob

I figure at 2350 fps and 2" high at 100 yds, you'll bee 2" low at 211 give or take . And a short 6 low at 250 with -12" at 300 should you want to push try that far. Velocity and energy at 300 is 2000+ and 1370+
Heres the program I use most, they have a demo you can download
