I chronoed the 375JDJ on Sunday. The temp was 95+, very sunny and humid. My 285 Speer Grand Slam over 48 gr 4064 zipped out at 1925fps, :shock: my 270 Hornady over 52.5 Varget went 2025 fps, :grin: and the 260 Nosler Balistic Tip over the load clocked 2050fps. :-D All can hold 1 1/2" or better,
given the heat and only a 2X Leupold on each, I think I defeated the mirage. The real getter was my 2- 30'06 barrels. My EAB with muzzletamer and finished in Rebel gray with a 3x9 Burris posi-loc is a delight to shoot.
MIL Surp M2 ball ammo would only do 2275 average! :shock: Factory Rem 150 Corelockt would do 2600 but I had a double miss-fire on one round. :oops: It was a certifiable dead round. My rifle would not shoot it. My hunting load of 180 Nosler Balistic Tip over 55gr IMR4350 zipped out at 2450fps and shot inside of 2" at 200yds!! :-D I was elated to say the least! My TC Custom shop 15" blued '06 is about 75fps faster across the board. Weird or what? BTW
