360 dan wesson?
« on: December 31, 2008, 03:02:24 AM »
I am curious if anyone has ever shot one or if anyone chambers one for a T/C contender. The 360 has a case length of 1.410", where as the 357 mag is 1.290" and a 357 max is1.600". Is it worth the trouble to be a little different or should I just get a Max and leave well enough alone?

I have the DW in 357max and a Contender barrel in the same.  The max has been around in various forms for several years and there are plenty of sources for brass and bullets, unfortunately few sources for complete bullets for shooting.  The story for the 360 is they have been around a much shorter time and components are even harder to find, except you can trim max cases and use the 357 bullets, also as something new they command a higher price.  You can use the 360's in the max barrels, if they come down enough in price.  I reload and stick to the max and can load up or down as I want for specific purposes.
