Cast bullet lube

Do you have to lube cast bullets or are they prelubed when you buy them.

Pretty much they will always come to you lubed. Now if you get them from an individual like a GBO member they might ship them to you unlubed but if you buy commercial cast bullets they will come lubed. Most likely it will be a really hard lube to stand up to travel to you and I don't like them as well for that reason but if you don't cast your own that's what you get generally.

No not really. To lube them effectively with a better lube you'd have to remove what the commercial caster put on them. That's way too much trouble. If they offered an option of buying them unlubed at a lesser price then yeah it might not be a bad idea if you really want to go to that trouble which I suspect you really don't. If you don't cast your own you likely don't want to get into messing with it.
