lead to tin raito for centerfire rifle
« on: November 24, 2008, 06:59:29 AM »
Am doing a bit of casting and was wondering what a good lead to tin ratio would be for all around performance.
I am running out of weel weight and am going to bite the bullet and order some pre mix from rotometal.
am not going to be using said mix for cast muzzleloading bullets, mostly lg diameter(.45cal etc..).
Not looking for super hard LBT style which I shoot out of my 44 mag.
mostly for slower speeds matching blk powder loads with smoke less powder.

25 or 30 to 1. Try the 25 first.
