Sorry Guy's wandering fingers, new clip was the only suggestion I saw. On recoil the shell from the clip ends up loose in the feed area and jams. Havent shot it since the year I bought it. It's a long gun I want to shorten and put a big peep site and synthetic stocks on. Is a new clip a good first effort at a fix? Does anyone work on 7600 Remingtons it the clip doesn't fix it. Bad feeding was the word on the gun back then. eddie

It can't be the ejector if the cartridge that jams is unfired out of the clip.  To me it sounds like one of two things - the clip lips are bend, or you are not cycling the action quickly enough.  Mine all work just great, I have never had a feeding or ejection failure except when I try to cycle the action too slowly.

Remington (or a designated repair station) will fix it if a new clip doesn't.

Thanks,
I'll shoot it some more and pay attention to those areas and see if I can spot anything in particular.
