I've heard back from two of my people in my area, one was a Representative and the other was my state Senator's office (not the Senator herself though).
The message that the Senator's assistant left on my machine is that she recieved my email and researched the bill, and that it was voted down back in March? Hmm, I'll have to call her tomorrow and tell you that the copy of the bill I saw had a November date on it.
On the other side, my local state representative personally emailed me back today and and said that he opposes encoding ammunition, regulating the guns in the bill, the whole she-bang and thanked me for writing in to tell him that I was opposed as well. He didn't mention anything about the bill not being a current issue up for vote in the State houses.....
After I talk to the senator's office tomorrow, I'll post what they tell me.
